Early Childhood Educator

Job SummaryAt A Joyful Noise Child Development Center, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for childcare and a commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children aged 4 weeks to 11 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement strategies to guide positive behaviors
* Create a positive learning environment reflecting A Joyful Noise's religious based values
* Cultivate strong bonds with families, children, staff, state licensing authorities and community contacts
* Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
* Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of every child
* Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Cleared Background check through DCYF
* 30 STARS hours childcare basics course
* Infant/Child CPR First Aid certified
* Food Handlers' card
* Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
* Infant Safe Sleep Mandated Reporter course
* MMR COVID-19 Vaccinations

Nice To Haves:

* Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE
* ECE short certificate
* Childcare experience (At least one year)
* Knowledge of Early Achievers and ProCare Software
* Strong understanding of child development
* Knowledge of Washington Administrative Code (WAC) for childcare
