What You Will Be Doing:
- Creating setup charts for manufacturing operations, routing for new parts, revising current routings and setup charts as changes occur, and processing engineering change notices
- Documentation: creating setup charts, creating routing for new parts, revising current routings and setup charts, and processing engineering change notices
- Methods: determining manufacturing methods for new parts, considering existing equipment or requesting new equipment if necessary, and improving current methods by studying current usage of manpower, machines, costs, time work place, material handling, work flow, part design, and types of manufactured parts
- Solutions: assisting in the solutions of manufacturing problems, gaining or possessing knowledge of all machines and controls in the manufacturing area, creating programs for new and current parts utilizing most suitable machines and tooling to complete process, and collaborating with machines to achieve optimum use of machines and tooling
What You Will Need:
- An Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in machine technology with emphasis in NC/CNC Programming, or three to four years related experience in machining environment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in programming CNC mills and/or lathes
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, depth micrometer, bore micrometer, and height gauges
- Ability to read blueprint and understand GD&T
- Fanuc and Haas control panels knowledge
- Setup fixturing and tooling (including machine offsets)
- A high degree of patience and attention to detail
- Highly preferred: knowledge of hand G-code programming and/or experience with Mastercam X8/NC-CAM 7/CNC mill and lathe
- Must be able to follow safety policies and must be willing to wear PPE
