Medical Screener

Job Summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Medical Screener to join our team. As a Medical Screener, you will be responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting a series of registration procedures to qualify donors for the plasma pheresis process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
• Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma.
• Ensure that all donor questions are answered timely, accurately, and professionally.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment and resolve calibration out-of-specification issues according to SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and create incident documentation.
• Provide guidance and technical training about processes and procedures to Reception Technicians and other staff as required.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 18 months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
