Wastewater Pump Station Technician

Job Description

Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Field Operations team. As a Wastewater Pump Station Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections and general maintenance on wastewater pump stations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater pump stations, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Conduct pipeline locating and customer complaint investigations
• Participate in customer service inspections and respond to customer concerns
• Install, maintain, and repair water and sewer lines, valves, and other equipment
• Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum one year of related experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Proficiency in utilizing computers and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's license required
