Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at Coca-Cola Bottling of Hawaii, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train production team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and downtime to optimize production processes.
  • Monitor and control labor and OPEX budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular checks and adjust equipment or work practices as needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Company SOPs, HACCP, GMP, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Production Department to schedule sanitizing and cleaning assignments and monitor sanitation performance.
  • Utilize sanitation checklists, charts, and graphs to verify activities are within required specifications.
  • Manage time effectively to maintain facility audit readiness.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order and working conditions are safe at all times.
  • Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up and supervise changeovers.
  • Work with QA to manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications are met.
  • Perform ISO and other internal audits.
  • Responsible for the effective utilization of PPE.
  • Adjust the daily work schedule as needed to meet sanitation requirements.
  • Support management system efforts such as document control, audits, records, and continual improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the business.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • 2 years experience in a production position strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of warehousing, forklift, and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to make calculations such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
  • Ability to carry out oral and/or written instructions.
Technical Skills
  • Requires experience managing people/budgets.
  • 5+ years supervising production staff preferred.
  • Basic computer and database application skills.
  • Experience working with ISO standards and audits.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to squat and bend over at the waist.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in temperature extremes on a daily basis up to 12 hours.
Work Environment
  • This position will be performed at Coca-Cola Bottling of Hawaii's Honolulu Production facility.
  • Varying temperature levels as the product may be located in a cooler or on the warehouse floor.
  • Occasionally works in high, precarious places, and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, occasionally high due to multiple forklift horns or outside related environmental noises.
