Job Title: Travel Care Professional PCU RN

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team of travel nurses. As a PCU RN, you will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care.

The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience and be able to perform various tasks such as providing basic bedside care, stabilizing critical cardiac patients, changing dressings, inserting catheters, starting IVs, preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment, and initiating corrective action when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment
  • Perform various tasks such as providing basic bedside care and stabilizing critical cardiac patients
  • Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio
  • 1-2 years recent acute care experience
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Possess good skills for coping with stress and relating to people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Hold current certifications in ACLS and BLS

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, based on a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.
