We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Responsibilities

This role requires a skilled nurse who can provide high-quality care to residents in various settings. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting
  • Demonstrating competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan
  • Possessing the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed
  • Ensuring the health, comfort and safety of residents
  • Contributing to the assessment of residents and administering medications or treatments as ordered
  • Providing technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Documenting resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
  • Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
  • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
