Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Assembly Technician to join our team at H O BOSTROM CO INC. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing their mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning skills to assemble products.

About the Role

  • The Industrial Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling products from drawings and assembly instructions, using assembly fixtures and power bench tools.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, be able to count accurately, and possess good verbal and written communication skills in fluent English.
  • This role requires the ability to work well with others, recognize types of fasteners used in assembly, and distinguish between colors.
  • The successful candidate will also have computer skills and be able to follow direction.

Responsibilities

  1. Assemble products from drawings and assembly instructions.
  2. Use assembly fixtures and power bench tools to ensure accurate assembly.
  3. Inspect and test final assemblies to ensure quality.
  4. Recognize defective parts and report them to senior builders.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  6. Suggest process method improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • 1-year work experience in a role that required the use of tools for mechanical tasks is required (prior manufacturing assembly experience preferred).
  • Able to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist occasionally.
  • Able to lift 65 pounds from waist to chest occasionally.
  • Able to lift 20 pounds from chest to overhead frequently.
  • Able to carry 30 pounds, 3 feet, occasionally.
  • Able to push 200 pounds on a wheeled cart for 40 feet occasionally.
  • Able to pull 60 pounds on a wheeled cart for 50 feet occasionally.
