Hematology/Blood Marrow Transplant Coordinator

At The University of Kansas Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hematology/Blood Marrow Transplant Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our transplant program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless coordination of patient care, from evaluation to post-transplant management.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate the care of living donors and transplant recipients, ensuring optimal physical, social, and emotional rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement teaching plans addressing the learning needs of transplant candidates, families, and living donors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community resources, and agencies to provide comprehensive care.
- Ensure compliance with OPTN/UNOS policies and listing requirements, including patient education and informed consent.
- Provide outcome-specific information to OPOs for donor family follow-up and maintain communication with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and payers.
- High School Graduate
- Associate Degree Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of hire/transfer
- 2 or more years of acute clinical experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse in State of Kansas
