Process Development Lab Technician

The Process Development Lab Technician will support the development and optimization of viral vector processes at Genezen's Lexington site in MA. This role involves assisting with upstream and/or downstream process development activities, including cell culture, fermentation, purification, and formulation.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands-on laboratory procedures related to viral vector production and characterization
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory notebooks and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Perform routine lab maintenance and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of experimental results, including data entry and basic statistical analysis
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations
- Assist in the development of general and technical SOPs and with the creation of study-specific procedures
- Train new staff members and fellow hourly employees in designated processes
- Comply with all established policies and SOPs
- Participate actively in SOP revisions in coordination with supervisor and Quality Assurance
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new techniques and technologies relevant to bioprocessing and biomanufacturing
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process development
- Associate or B.S. degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or similar field
- 1+ years of relevant industry experience in R&D, product development, or operations
- Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills
