Job Description

As a Lab Automation Field Service Engineer III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our customers in the metro Boston area. Your expertise in automated robotic platforms will enable you to deliver innovative solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex technical hardware problems and accurately diagnose sophisticated issues using documentation, schematics, and drawings.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external parties to meet their service needs.
  • Manage your schedule and administrative tasks, including expenses, travel, customer preventative care schedules, field case reports, and non-conformance reporting.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience working with sophisticated environmental controls and measurement, robotics handling systems, dynamic software schedulers, and providing stable hardware solutions.
  • Experience in field engineering of technically sophisticated devices in a clinical or research environment.
  • Solid understanding of measurement tools, such as CO2, O2, relative humidity, and multimeter operation.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and clear verbal and written communication skills.
