Job Overview

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare seeks a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to join our team as an in-home euthanasia and hospice care provider. With a focus on delivering exceptional end-of-life care to geriatric and terminally ill pets, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pet families.

Our ideal candidate possesses a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree, 1+ year(s) of experience as a practicing veterinarian, and is licensed to practice in their state. They will be responsible for providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care services, guiding families through the end-of-life decision-making process, and building relationships with local veterinary clinics to extend excellent care.

Responsibilities
  • In-Home Care Services: Provide compassionate and professional in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to geriatric and terminally ill pets.
  • Family Support: Guide families through the end-of-life decision-making process, offering emotional support and education on end-of-life care options.
  • Clinic Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with local veterinary clinics to ensure seamless transitions of care and extend excellent service to pet families.
Benefits and Requirements

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes range of health insurance plans, mileage reimbursement, quarterly productivity bonuses, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off/bereavement leave/paid parental leave, professional training and development, and pet insurance.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a valid driver's license, be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted, and possess demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools.
