Job Summary

The Accounting and Payroll Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the financial operations of Oasis Center are timely, accurate, and efficient. This position is responsible for managing the accounting cycle, coordinating month-end accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations, preparing and inputting payroll, and overseeing benefit billing reconciliations and salaried timesheet verification and submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting functions
  • Support program requests by providing financial reporting and budgeting assistance
  • Process payroll and prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review trial balance for accuracy and completeness and record and post journal entries for monthly financial activity
  • Coordinate information and documents for annual audit process and 990
  • Lead month-end close process in a timely manner and maintain accounts payable vendor files
  • Oversight of credit card procedures, including issuing, terminating, and ensuring policy and procedure compliance
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Human Resource and Payroll
  • Monitor and adhere to written HR policies and procedures that comply with Oasis Center's policies and federal employment laws
  • Manage payroll process in its entirety, including processing and administering bi-monthly payroll and creating general ledger entries
  • Coordinate with payroll service provider to process annual W-2 earnings statements to employees and ensure COBRA compliance
  • Oversight of salaried timesheets, including creating yearly templates, ensuring accuracy of employee calculations, and timely submission
  • Oversight of YMCA collaboration, including point person for payment, reconciliation, enrollments, and cancellations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimal 2 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Paylocity strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit organizations strongly preferred
