The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking a skilled Paramedic to collaborate with the Nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform specific tasks to support the Nursing team in providing patient care.
Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school, and
  • Current paramedic certification by the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and
  • Current course completion card in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association, and
  • Current course completion card in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and subject to a criminal background check.
