Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, engage them in meaningful conversation and socialization, and provide personal care assistance. You will also respond promptly to all resident needs and requests for care, and provide or obtain assistance as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance.
  • Respond to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provide or obtains assistance with care as necessary.
  • Assist in the dining room during resident meal times.
  • Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activities and outings, and assists with those activities as needed.
  • Assist in the cleanliness of the community, including straightening resident beds, emptying resident garbage, and tidying resident rooms daily and as needed.
  • Assist with resident laundry per shift guidelines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English effectively to communicate with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members.
  • The ability to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The ability to pass necessary tests (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) if required by state regulations.
