About the Role

The Paramedic I will function as an integral member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing direct patient care in accordance with the Paramedic scope of practice as defined by the North Carolina Medical Board. This role requires a strong ability to assess needs of acute and chronically ill patients and their families, as well as the ability to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Paramedic I include:

• Providing direct patient care in accordance with the Paramedic scope of practice

• Assisting clinical staff in the evaluation, treatment, and care of patients

• Obtaining pertinent history and performing physical examinations

• Performing technical procedures as delegated

• Monitoring patients and maintaining records using patient monitoring systems and electronic health records

• Documenting patients' status, delivery of care, and evaluation of patients' response to care according to specific procedures and established protocols

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current certification as a North Carolina Paramedic

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification

• A high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate's degree preferred

• One year of experience as a Paramedic or other relevant clinical experience
