Economic Studies Program Overview

The Economic Studies program analyzes current and emerging economic issues facing the United States and the world. Based on this research, we provide innovative, practical policy recommendations.

Job Description

This position combines advanced study and research in areas related to fiscal policy and macroeconomic analyses with engagement in public and private events, policy dialogue with policymakers, the public, and the media.

The Fellow will work with Hamilton Project staff to undertake independent and joint research assignments and publish through the Hamilton Project at Brookings on topics related to fiscal policy and macroeconomics.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in advanced study and research in areas related to fiscal policy and macroeconomic analyses and other topics related to The Hamilton Projects mission
  • Aid in the management of paper production processes for designated Hamilton Project products
  • Disseminate research findings through publication and presentation
Qualifications

Ph.D. in Economics or related social science field with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience required

Candidates should have a strong record of productivity with the clear potential to be recognized as a leader in their field
