About Us

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health Care System's Specialty Care Service is a leading healthcare provider, seeking an experienced Cardiologist with expertise in heart failure. As a dual appointment with the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to quality care standards and academic hospital program growth.

Job Description

This is an open continuous announcement that will remain active until filled. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Eligible applicants will be referred weekly for consideration until a selection is made. The ideal candidate should want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our nation's veterans.

Responsibilities
  • To manage advanced heart failure patients with training and experience
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient quality care, teaching, and research related to cardiovascular diseases
  • Apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance, and management of cardiovascular diseases
Requirements
  • A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • A full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
