Customer Service Representative with Merchandise Management Expertise

At Sam's Club, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Member Specialist to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and possess strong merchandise management skills.
About the RoleThe Member Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the member experience is consistently positive by handling returns, zoning the sales floor, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and promoting Sam's Club products and services.
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of productivity while providing exceptional service to members.
Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including handling returns and exchanging merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining exit areas, reviewing member receipts, acknowledging members, and identifying member needs.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and provide guidance on self-service technology.
- Process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
- Secure and safeguard Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity, maintaining paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, executing emergency response procedures, and ensuring compliance with company security and safety practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Customer service experience, preferably in retail or a related industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong merchandise management skills, including inventory control and stockroom organization.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
We offer a competitive salary of $18.50 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance.
