Reliability Specialist for Electric Locomotive Maintenance

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Specialist to join our team in Washington DC. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of our electric locomotive fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance to all applicable safety rules, laws, and regulations
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards
  • In the absence of Stores Keeper Controllers, perform Material transactions to support the fleet as needed
  • Foster a work environment that drives a safety first zero-harm culture (ZHC) and speaks up as a partner for shop and site safety
  • Assist with running maintenance on a fleet of locomotives, maintenance instructions from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Assist with unscheduled repairs on locomotives, including Mechanical repairs, Electrical repairs, highly complex technical and troubleshooting on locomotives
  • Follow all maintenance instructions to adhere to and maintain compliance and high-quality standards
  • Develop a working relationship with the Customer as a representative of Siemens Mobility
  • Verify that all defects, tasks, and incidents have been reported and detailed in (CMMS) for compliance, issue tracking, and closure
  • Provide first-line technical assistance to operations staff for troubleshooting and repair of Locomotives
  • Interact with the leadership as needed on all site issues, systems, and related facility operations
Requirements
  • Associates degree in an engineering discipline or a minimum of 2 or more years of experience working in an industrial, military or maintenance environment
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical (both AC and DC circuits), Mechanical, and Pneumatic systems
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and drawings
  • Excellent English language technical communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office (including Excel/Word/Access/PowerPoint) products
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Setting you apart from others would be experience in rolling stock (railroad) maintenance and commissioning or other rail-related experience along with knowledge of Railroad Regulatory, FRA requirements, and guidelines

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The base salary range for this position in Washington DC is $64,500 - $87,100.
