Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and selecting mechanical equipment for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify mechanical equipment, including rotating machinery, packaged units, material handling systems, and solids processing systems.
  • Perform engineering tasks, including planning, scheduling, and conducting work that requires judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering field.
  • Certification as a Licensed Professional Engineer, or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with chemical, petrochemical, refining, and oil and gas projects, particularly LNG liquefaction, ammonia, ethylene, refining, and offshore facilities.
  • Knowledge of fluid/thermal systems, machine design, and application, as well as rotor dynamic principles and analysis.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to designers and drafters.
