Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in Dover, Ohio.

About the Role

This position involves utilizing magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by physicians for patient diagnosis. The ideal candidate will closely follow physician instructions, prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients correctly, and record diagnostic images efficiently.

  • Perform MRI scans as prescribed by physicians
  • Interview patients to obtain needed information and provide education on their scan
  • Maintain constant patient contact during the scan and respond accordingly to claustrophobic reactions
  • Provide MRI information to patients, families, physicians, and other relevant parties
  • Assist in developing new techniques and procedures relating to MRI

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent institution
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 24 months of appointment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • One year of experience in computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily
  • Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds
