Project Overview

The Mobile Launcher 2 project is managed by our client at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This project involves the design and construction of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) for the Space Launch System (SLS).

Responsibilities

  • Develops and prepares project master purchases pro-forma forms, including legal and commercial terms and conditions to be included in purchase documents for project commitments.
  • Prepares, maintains, and monitors project bidder's lists, ensuring input is received from all procurement functions and other operational groups.
  • Forms, issues, and administers purchase orders.
  • Participates in the negotiations in the commitment of purchases, following review and approval of the proposed negotiating plan by the designated supervisor.

Requirements

  • Degree in a related field plus 6 years of experience; proficiency in all phases of procurement.
  • Proficiency and experience in the formation and administration of purchase orders.
  • Experience with procurements for Government projects.
  • Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code or applicable commercial legislation.
  • Proficiency in administration of commitments, monitoring supplier performance, back charge procedures and the resolution of claims and disputes.
  • Knowledge of international commercial conditions of buying as well as international suppliers.
  • Skill in working with and communicating effectively both orally and in writing with other project functional groups, primarily Engineering, Construction, Project Management.
  • Materials management, expediting and purchasing.
  • BPS experience with an understanding of stock codes and various construction materials.
  • Possess a good understanding of material types, electrical, piping, mechanical and instrumentation.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include:
