Diagnostic Imaging Specialist with Expertise in Fetal Echocardiography

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Providence. As a Senior Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations relating to high-risk obstetrics, including fetal echocardiograms, nuchal translucencies, first-trimester anatomy, and surveillance of multiple gestations.
You will work closely with the maternal-fetal medicine specialist to assist with invasive procedures and operate various ultrasound machines and probes to achieve high-quality images. Your expertise in transvaginal ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, specialized Doppler studies, and other procedures will be essential in making clinical judgments about patient conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complex ultrasound examinations for high-risk obstetrics cases
- Assist the maternal-fetal medicine specialist with invasive procedures
- Operate various ultrasound machines and probes to achieve high-quality images
- Make clinical judgments about patient conditions based on ultrasound findings
This is a per-diem position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for diagnostic imaging, we encourage you to apply.
Required QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound training program
- Board eligibility or registration by ARDMS in OB/GYN
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements
- Certification in fetal echocardiography within one year of hire
- 5 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound, including OB/GYN
- 2 years of experience in MFM and fetal echo sonographic experience
