Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee (BJIT). As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting health and wellness in our community.
Job Summary:The Physical Therapist will be responsible for organizing and conducting physical therapy interventions to reduce pain, restore function, promote mobility, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or accident. You will work closely with patients, families, and staff to develop and establish treatment plans based on standards of practice using an interdisciplinary approach.
Responsibilities:- Develop and establish treatment plans based on standards of practice using an interdisciplinary approach with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to apply therapeutic principles and practices consistent with standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Perform patient and family discharge planning including provision of accurate and pertinent education, establishment of home exercise programs, and submission of appropriate discharge recommendations.
- Consult with other staff members to coordinate physical therapy services.
- Attend 75% of all staff/departmental meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Prior experience in outpatient and/or sports medicine PT.
- Ability to work standard PC/fax, adjust necessary exercise equipment for patient care activity.
- Ability to provide clear, skilled documentation for accurate and detailed charting and billing processes.
- Ability to work well under pressure and function independently and as part of the BJIT team of physicians, physician assistants, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, technicians, athletic trainers, and physical/occupational therapists.
