Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at McLean Hospital, a comprehensive psychiatric hospital located in Massachusetts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with a range of psychiatric illnesses, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

This is a full-time position that requires a 40-hour workweek, with nights shifts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role:

  • Provide nursing care to patients with complex psychiatric needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and address patient concerns.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • At least one year of experience in medical/psychiatric nursing, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
