Cybersecurity Risk Specialist

Cyber threats are a constant concern for organizations, and understanding these threats is crucial for mitigating risks. As a Cybersecurity Risk Specialist, you will support the Joint Cyber Operations Integration Center (JCOIC) in conducting security reviews of network diagrams and topologies, architecture diagrams, and associated Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts. Your role will involve discovering security issues, understanding applicable policies, and developing mitigation plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security reviews of network diagrams and topologies, architecture diagrams, and associated RMF artifacts
  • Discover security issues and develop mitigation plans
  • Review technical documentation and artifacts to assess systems and networks for potential security issues
  • Document potential courses of action to support resolution and submit findings to the appropriate party
  • Guide clients through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience with planning, designing, and overseeing deployment of complex enterprise-wide or large-scale information architectures
  • Experience with responding to requests for assistance from the Network Security Operations (NSO) and Cyber teams
  • Ability to identify necessary interfaces between enterprise solution applications and legacy IT environments
  • Ability to support all program and project planning and milestone development
  • Ability to develop technical briefs for senior leaders and executives
