At BAE Systems Electronic Systems, we are pushing the limits of what is possible in defense and commercial electronics. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing state-of-the-art DSP algorithms for our next-generation RF Systems.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is part of our FAST Labs program, where you will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and industry partners to realize innovative solutions to complex national security problems. You will be instrumental in creating, developing, and implementing DSP algorithms, including interference detection, cancellation, and signal conditioning, as well as working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate these algorithms into hardware platforms and wireless systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools and languages, as well as experience in DSP engineering, particularly in wireless communication systems. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on DSP or wireless communications is also required.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and develop advanced DSP algorithms for RF Systems
  • Implement DSP algorithms in various platforms and wireless systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP algorithms into hardware platforms and wireless systems
  • Perform system-level modeling and simulation to validate the performance of DSP algorithms under various channel conditions and interference scenarios
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on DSP or wireless communications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DSP engineering, particularly in wireless communication systems
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools and languages
  • Proficiency in software-defined radios (SDR) and understanding of RF systems

We offer a competitive salary range of $112,420 - $191,070 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
