Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Lead to manage the development of new products, engineering changes, and second sourcing initiatives. The successful candidate will identify and execute on product opportunities to solve customer pain-points related to tire repair, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of new products from ideation through mass production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Project management – execute the product development, engineering change, and second sourcing process, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Support product engineering and implement value-added/value engineering opportunities to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate needs into finished products, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop technical drawings, 3D models, and perform DFM and FEA analysis as needed, utilizing SolidWorks/Fusion360.
  • Support product and customer compliance – product/labeling/package, ensuring regulatory adherence and quality standards.
  • Develop and control product documentation – specification sheet creation, package specification, patent evaluation & documentation, etc.
  • Conduct and support product testing, including validation testing, competitive product assessment, and QA testing support.
  • Support Product Manager with product lifecycle management, ensuring seamless product transitions and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, foster, and own vendor relationships, driving collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of experience and a 4-year degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with MS suite, SolidWorks/Fusion360, and other relevant software.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and the ability to translate information into new product ideas.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box, pushing standard new product development thinking.
  • Clear understanding of innovation process and new product development principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and present to multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and insight skills, with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Able to effectively align, motivate, and lead internal cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and innovation.
  • Skilled at identifying and leveraging a variety of tools to identify, build up, and assess new product development opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Proven skills in building relationships and collaboration, driving innovation and growth.
  • Customer-focused with an ability to objectively assess trends and opportunities to fit with customers' needs.
  • Working knowledge of supplier's quotes and basic financial principles.
