Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine department at St. Josephs Hospital - Baycare Health System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and working closely with our Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists to review and interpret results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed ultrasound exams of the fetus and maternal structures, including first trimester, second trimester, third trimester, and specialized studies such as fetal echo, nuchal translucency (NT), amniocentesis, and Doppler studies.
  • Document all imaging findings and procedural details in the medical record.
  • Work closely and communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists, including Perinatologists and nurse practitioners, to review and interpret ultrasound results.
  • Meet the requirements for BLS and RDMS-OB certifications.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons.

  • Locals are accepted, but pending state license is not.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in our outpatient maternal fetal medicine department within the hospital, performing high-risk OB ultrasound exams. The possibility of call on a weekend day or night 12-hr shift may include NICU, infants, or some general/vascular studies. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient work settings, PACS skills, and GE Viewpoint experience. Cerner EMR is preferred.
