About This RoleWe are seeking an experienced RN to join our Behavioral Health team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
Job Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced 60-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 8:1.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, and Mental Health Technicians, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Utilize technology, such as vital signs machines, iPads for rounding, and mobile phones for communication, to streamline workflow and enhance patient outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently using the Meditech system.
- Comply with scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts per schedule, and demonstrate flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed.
- Floating policy allows for seamless transitions between units and schedules.
The successful candidate will be required to perform procedures such as EKGs, vital signs, and some lab work. Adherence to hospital dress code policies and standards for patient experience is essential.
