Custodian Assistant

Job Summary:
Texas Woman's University is seeking a dedicated Custodian I to maintain a clean and safe environment for our students, staff, and faculty. As a key member of our facilities team, you will perform manual work involving the cleaning and care of buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities:
• Clean, sweep, and mop floors, hallways, and stairways
• Clean and dust furniture, windows, fixtures, and other features
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
• Measure and mix cleaning solutions
• Strip, wax, and polish floors
• Move and clean under small furnishings
• Operate vacuum cleaners and buffers
• Empties trash containers, cleans trash rooms, and deposits trash for pick-up
• Assist with unloading and distribution of supplies and materials
• Monitor and requisition supplies and materials
• Report needed repairs and property damage
• Perform other duties as requested

Requirements:
• Completion of the 10th grade preferred
• Some related experience preferred
• Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position
