Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Audiology Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing auditory function in patients of all ages, conducting comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations, and providing appropriate rehabilitation options.

About the Role:

  • Assess auditory function in normal hearing and hearing-impaired patients of all ages.
  • Communicate educational, medical, and diagnostic procedural information to patients and their families in a clear and concise manner.
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, and otoacoustic emissions.
  • Assess candidacy of patients with hearing loss for hearing aids and implantable devices and provide appropriate rehabilitation options.
  • Facilitate departmental practice by scheduling and coordinating all appointment types.
  • Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy and effective communication.

About You:

  • Master's degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in state of practice.
  • 1 year of experience in the audiology field.
  • Current hearing aid license in state of practice.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.

About Our Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of $83,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous compensation package, we also offer benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate and interact with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Clinical skills indicative of a Board-certified audiologist.
