Job Summary:

The Miami Beach Medical Group seeks an experienced X-Ray Technician Floater to perform radiological duties in compliance with department and legal requirements while ensuring patients feel comfortable during the entire process.

About the Role:

This position covers 2 offices: Palm River and Hudson, offering a unique opportunity to work in different environments while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors; confirming that all individuals in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform examinations according to study protocols for each individual study.
  • Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continued education, training, and interaction with other radiology technicians.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations.
  • Test and monitor equipment for proper working conditions, reporting any malfunction or damage to management.
  • Track and relay patients' lab and diagnostic study results, as directed by the provider.
  • Ensure orderliness and cleanliness of each examination room and x-ray facilities.
  • Perform routine inventories and replenish medical supplies and disposables maintained in each examination room in accordance with provider preference.
  • Assist with medical chart preparation prior to clinic, obtaining imaging reports, operative reports, referred-out consult notes, etc.
  • Maintain patient accounts by uploading outside medical records, consult reports, insurance reports, etc., into patient charts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Education / Licenses:

  • BLS Certification is preferred.
  • ARRT Certification is preferred.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced insurance or healthcare setting is essential.
  • Strong organization and process management skills are necessary.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred; must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access are essential.
  • Strong people skills, independent decision-making, and customer service orientation are required.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
