Job Description:

In this dynamic role as a Field Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving conversion of new revenue from existing customers while building programs to orchestrate sales growth in our public sector and commercial markets. This position is based in the state of Maryland.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory penetration strategy, continuously analyze individual performance, and shift strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Qualify prospects from internal and external leads, route opportunities to fellow sales team members, schedule appointments, and present Quill values and solutions to prospective customers.
  • Utilize marketing collateral to build engaging presentations, drive prospect engagement, and conversion.
  • Attend conferences, tradeshows, and events representing Quill and winning new customers.
  • Create and present custom pricing solutions to potential high-growth commercial customers.
  • Leverage education contracts, including Cooperative Purchasing partnerships and Bids, to acquire new education customers or drive growth for existing ones.
  • Evaluate customer commitment and ensure smooth transition to account management teams.
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas and key metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM, including activity logs and pipeline.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve, absorb, and apply manager and peer-led coaching.
  • Make a positive impact on culture and team by working collaboratively, sharing learnings, building trust, and leading by example.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • 4+ years of field sales experience.
  • Approximately 50% travel within the territory based on appointments, customer needs, and conferences.
