Capital Health (US) is seeking a Medical Assistant Specialist for its surgical services team. This role involves working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Job Overview

The Medical Assistant Specialist will assist with preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare operating rooms, including setup, cleaning, and organization of equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to implement plans of care, update preference cards, and ensure specimen handling.
  • Participate in safety checks, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain good working conditions.
  • Collect blood specimens using proper protocol and technique.
  • Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical School of Nursing Program.
  • One year of work experience in inpatient healthcare, preferably in surgical services.
  • AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification, Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Demands

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Occasional sitting and climbing may be required. Sensory requirements include accurate near vision, far vision, color discrimination, moderate depth perception, and moderate hearing.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
