Medical Billing Team Lead

At Medical Health Associates of Western New York, we're seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you'll be responsible for guiding our billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate and compliant claim submissions, verifying patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility.
- Analyze rejections and denials, develop corrective strategies, and collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve claim issues.
- Generate comprehensive billing reports, including KPIs, revenue analysis, and claim status summaries, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Act as the go-to person for the billing team, helping troubleshoot issues and collaborating with various internal teams, insurance providers, and external partners.
- Identify areas for process improvement, provide training and guidance to staff, and help streamline billing operations.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in outpatient medical billing, with a strong understanding of revenue cycle management.
- Prior experience in a leadership or team lead role within a billing department is a plus.
- Proficiency in MEDENT software and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with managed care, capitation insurance products, and customer service.
- Associate's degree or medical billing certificate.
