Job Summary As an Early Childhood Educator at Almost Home Academy II, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children aged [insert age range].

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children, promoting their overall growth and well-being.
  • Care for children's basic needs, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene, ensuring their physical and emotional comfort.
  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment by arranging indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and exploration.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and collaboration to ensure a cohesive and supportive community.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction and support.
  • Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, communicating these goals to children and adapting teaching methods to meet their varying needs and interests.
  • Demonstrate activities and materials to children, encouraging their participation and engagement in learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by state licensing procedures and National Accreditation Commission standards.
  • Prepare reports on students and activities as needed, providing valuable insights for administration and parental involvement.
  • Participate in professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence, staying up-to-date with best practices and research-based methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons, promoting a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience working with young children in a educational setting.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Availability to attend professional meetings and training sessions.
