About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Nuclear Power Plant Engineer to join our team. As a senior mechanical engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing solutions for nuclear power plant systems.


Job Description

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex projects, develop technical specifications, and lead engineering project teams. You will be involved in:

  • Designing and preparing modification packages for operating nuclear power plants
  • Developing functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems
  • Conducting engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems
  • Preparing technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment
  • Evaluating vendor bids for plant equipment
  • Developing studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plants

Responsibilities

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also have the opportunity to:

  • Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes
  • Visit client office and/or plant site locations to interface with the client and make presentations related to engineering tasks and status
  • Lead engineering project teams

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry
  • A working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
  • A PE license is beneficial, but not required
