Hearing Specialist Opportunities in New York

- Conducting thorough hearing evaluations using various testing methods, including tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, OAE's, pure tone and speech testing, conditioned play audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, speech-in-noise testing, central auditory processing evaluations, and cochlear implant evaluations.
- Providing expert guidance on hearing aid dispensing, fitting, and servicing, as well as assistive-listening devices and other appropriate technology.
- Initiating follow-up appointments and referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Participating in community events and hearing conservation initiatives when required.
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing timely reports following agency guidelines.
- A Master's degree in Audiology, with a Doctoral degree preferred.
- A State of New York license to practice Audiology and a New York State license to dispense hearing aids.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
