The Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakeries. This includes supervising maintenance technicians, performing maintenance activities, scheduling employees, and coordinating activities to maintain a 24/7 environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and leadership, with experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians in repair and troubleshooting activities.
  • Develop and implement schedules for maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance and overtime allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to identify plant needs and develop budgets for equipment repair and replacement.
  • Manage department performance metrics, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering being an asset.
  • 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership experience, is preferred.
  • Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) electrical troubleshooting knowledge is essential.
  • Experience with ammonia and the PSM Standard is an asset.
  • Maintenance/Engineering expertise in hydraulics, mechanics, process, and electrical functions of equipment is required.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word for spreadsheets and reports is necessary.
