Acutronic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer at Acutronic, you will be responsible for overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from proposal to production support. This self-motivated engineer will significantly influence product line development and enhance Acutronic's Actuation market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electro-mechanical actuators, including gearing, bearings, and structural analysis.
  • Support proposals in a fast-paced aerospace environment by assessing requirements and producing compliance matrices.
  • Generate engineering models and analyses, balancing rigor and speed, and contribute to cost and schedule estimates.
  • Create and manage CAD models and detailed component/assembly drawings.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal evaluations.
  • Perform basic project management tasks as needed.
  • Generate test procedures and reports, along with supporting data items for development.

About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • At least five years of engineering experience required.
  • Prior experience working with control actuation systems is preferred.
