Recreation Program Assistant

About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Recreation Program Assistant. As a key member of our recreation team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality recreational programs and services to our community.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. You will be responsible for assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational programs, as well as providing support to program staff.

Responsibilities- Assist with the planning and delivery of recreational programs, including sports, games, and other activities.
- Provide support to program staff, including setup, supervision, and cleanup of facilities and equipment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of program participants, including emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, participation, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote positive working relationships and a culture of teamwork.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and filing documents.
- Age 15 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move tables and chairs
- Familiarity with basic arithmetic and English language skills
- Availability to work evenings on weekdays and full days on weekends, year-round
This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires adaptability and flexibility. The successful candidate will be required to sit at a desk for long periods, stand, walk, and bend while assisting with recreation activities, squat, climb, kneel, and twist when setting up various recreation programs.
