Senior Safety and Compliance Manager

Wayne Farms LLC seeks a seasoned safety expert to oversee health and safety programs across its poultry processing complex. As Senior Safety and Compliance Manager, you will lead the implementation of robust safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Program Development: Design and implement effective safety protocols, including training programs, incident investigation procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and other state and federal regulations, conducting regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of Complex Nurses, Safety Specialists, and Safety Technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure their success.
- Incident Investigation and Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents, identifying root causes and developing corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Safety or Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years' relevant safety management experience, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven leadership experience, including conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive cultural change.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety technical aspects, risk management, and behavior-based safety principles.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
