Overview of the Position

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for identifying students with communication disorders that may affect their educational performance and addressing the communication needs of students who require speech language services in Red Clay schools.

About the Role
  • Assess students to identify potential communication deficits or needs, including articulation, expressive/receptive language, and pragmatic language.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs for students with speech/language impairments and various disabilities requiring speech as a related service.
  • Provide transdisciplinary speech and language services within the school day, supporting the use of Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and feeding/swallowing concerns.
  • Maintain accurate case records, including service logs, progress monitoring, and quarterly goal reporting.
Requirements
  • Completion of a graduate program in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certification requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF).
  • Eligibility for the Delaware State Professional License for Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred experience serving students with autism in Autism Support classrooms.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The position also includes comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
