Job Title: Annual Fund and Membership Manager

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced fundraising professional to join its development team as an Annual Fund and Membership Manager. This role will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive and integrated membership/annual fund program to broaden, retain, and upgrade the member and donor bases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage a hybrid annual fund and membership fundraising program to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute a donor and member communications and stewardship plan to create a philanthropic connection and balance philanthropic messaging with transactional membership.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising events, such as the biennial gala, to engage members and donors.
  • Monitor and evaluate membership benefits and evolve the benefits strategy to meet the needs of members and donors.
  • Manage the expense budget for membership, events, and annual fund, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Supervise the Development Coordinator in fulfilling member benefits, gift entry, and gift acknowledgments.
  • Maintain accurate member/donor and member/donor prospect records and moves management progress in CRM.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4-8 years of equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in membership, annual fundraising, and events planning and execution.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to integrate donor-centric messaging into fundraising materials.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, using data to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with customer relationship management software (Salesforce, Blackbaud, etc.) is preferred.
Work Environment:

The position is office/art gallery based, with a moderate noise level. Occasional work may be required inside or outside at events, where the noise level could be moderate to loud. Hours of work include daytime hours Monday-Friday and occasionally Saturday and Sunday to meet staffing and/or event needs.
