About the Job

The Child Autism Specialist, also known as a Behavior Technician, plays a vital role in helping children with autism reach their full potential.

You will work one-on-one with children, using evidence-based techniques to teach essential skills and reduce interfering behaviors.

Your patience, understanding, and ability to work well in a team environment will make a significant difference in the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans for children with autism
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Teach essential communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Manage challenging behaviors and provide emotional support to children and families
Requirements
  • Passionate about helping children with autism
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
  • 18+ years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
