About the Role
The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and trailers at The Equity's facilities in Effingham, IL. This is a critical role that requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using computer diagnostics and other tools
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and hydraulics
  • A self-motivated personality with excellent problem-solving skills

Benefits:
The Equity offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including paid vacation, health insurance, and retirement plan matching. We also offer opportunities for professional growth and development within our team.

Work Environment:
