This role oversees the daily operations of dialysis facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining cost-effective clinical operations. Key responsibilities include managing staff, implementing quality standards, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of patient care with staff members from admission to discharge
  • Educates patients on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, and access care
  • Ensures timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans by organizing Interdisciplinary Team meetings
  • Directs efficient and timely patient schedules to maximize facility station efficiency
  • Develops a mechanism or process for knowing the specific situation of each patient
  • Plans, coordinates, and acts as liaison for patient care according to disease management agreement
  • Communicates changes in patient status regarding clinical, insurance, travel, and transportation issues
  • Responsible for implementation of FMS staffing and medical supply models to provide quality patient care
  • Maintains current knowledge of disease management software and systems
  • Provides opportunities for professional growth and training to ensure clinical competence
  • Oversees performance of licensed personnel, direct patient care staff, and technical staff
  • Completes timely employee evaluations and establishes annual goals for staff
  • Creates and implements Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Process Improvement Teams
  • Facilitates application process for physician privileges and compliance with FMS Medical Staff By-Laws
  • Responsible for strong Director and physician relationships and facilitating staff relationships with physicians
  • Accountable for completion of Annual Standing Order Review and ICD coding
  • Participates in completion and interpretation of Pl-17 inventory supply use analysis
  • Reviews and approves facility payroll
  • Participates in required Network reporting and on-site state or federal surveys
  • Participates in completion of FMS Administrative Clinical Review

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN)
  • 3+ years' supervisory or project/program management experience preferred
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in clinical nursing is required
  • Experience in med/surg or ICU/CCU is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience is required
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and skills necessary for the position

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per year based on qualifications and location.
