Job Summary

As a Customs Trade Coordinator at FedEx Logistics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of goods into the US. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers. This includes providing impeccable customer service, obtaining correct classification of goods, data entry and processing of various import-related documentation, and maintaining and keeping current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record-keeping requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to importers and other stakeholders.
  • Obtain accurate classification of goods for customs release from various sources, including databases, SOPs, tariff books, and customs regulations.
  • Process and submit various import-related documentation to US Customs and Government Agencies.
  • Maintain and update all shipment documentation to ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, departments, and other FedEx operations to deliver high-quality service to customers.
  • Process agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings as needed.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • No industry experience required, but a minimum of 6 months of work experience preferred.
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle high volumes of work and time-sensitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hybrid shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Pay Transparency
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job, and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay
Pay Range: $15.07 - $23.88
